Beon Player — Privacy Policy

Beon Player ("the app") is a lightweight playback app for channels and streams provided through the Beon Live service. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

Beon Player does not require account creation or login, does not collect your name, email, or contact details, does not use advertising SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

• Saved channels: titles and stream URLs you add are stored only in the app's local storage on your device, never sent to our servers.
• Watch history: playback position/history is kept locally on your device to let you resume watching, and is not transmitted anywhere.
• Playback preferences: settings such as volume, quality, and pinch-zoom preferences are stored locally.

3. Network Access

The app requires internet access to:

• Fetch and play video streams from Beon Live's own domains.
• (Optional) Cast playback to a Chromecast-compatible device on your local network.

The app does not connect to arbitrary third-party servers; playback sources are restricted to Beon Live's own domains.

4. Device Permissions

• Storage / Media access (READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): used only if you choose to play a local video file from your device. Files are read for playback only and are never uploaded.
• Network state: used to detect connectivity and adjust playback quality.

5. Security Checks

For account and content-security purposes, the app performs on-device checks (e.g., detecting rooted/emulated devices, or the presence of known network-interception tools) to protect playback integrity. These checks run entirely on your device; the results are not transmitted to us and no personal data is involved.

6. Children's Privacy

Beon Player does not knowingly collect data from children, as it does not collect personal data at all.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted with a new "Last updated" date.
